Authorities have accused a West Liberty man with driving while intoxicated.

Bobby Burley, 55, was charged Oct. 28 with a third-offense OWI.

According to online court documents, Burley was involved in an accident with two other vehicles before he fled the scene.

Once officers approached him, he admitted to consuming alcohol and being involved in an accident.

Burley blew a .160, and an open container of liquor was found on the floorboard in front of the driver’s seat. 

Third-offense OWIs are a Class-D felony.
