Authorities have accused a North Liberty woman of abusing her child.
Maria Molina, 34, was charged Oct. 28 with child endangerment with bodily injury.
According to online court documents, officers arrived at Molina’s home in response to a suicidal subject.
Upon arrival, authorities spoke to Molina’s daughter who was very distraught, and had a red mark that was starting to bruise on her left cheek. She also had a red mark on her right forearm.
It was later learned that Molina hit her daughter with an open hand on the face.
Child endangerment with bodily injury is a Class-D felony.
