Marvin McNutt was one of four Carolina Panther wide receivers cut Sunday. The former Hawkeye was one of 10 players cut from the team.
McNutt caught 1 pass for 5 yards in three games this preseason. The 2012 sixth-round draft pick has been targeted three times in his career.
During his time at Iowa, the St. Louis native led the Big Ten in receiving yards per game, was second in receptions per game, and sixth in all-purpose yards in his senior year.
McNutt is the all-time leading receiver at Iowa in receiving yards in a season and career and touchdown receptions. He also ranks second in career receptions.
