Two local high schools are among the best in the state.

According to the 2014 U.S. News Best High Schools rankings, West High and City High are in the top 10 of the state.

West High was ranked No. 4, and City High was ranked No. 10.

Iowa has one of the highest high-school graduation rates in the nation.
