Authorities have accused an area man of driving under the influence of alcohol.
Robert Kalin, 43, was charged April 11 with third-offense OWI.
Kalin’s car was observed traveling westbound on Iowa Avenue with the headlights off. When a police officer approached Kalin, he had a difficult time understanding directions.
He had bloodshot and glassy eyes and smelled of alcohol. He admitted to having two shots of whiskey.
