The University of Iowa History Department will hold a memorial service for a visiting assistant professor who passed away on Jan. 29 at his home.

The service will take place in the Old Capitol Senate Chamber on Tuesday at 5 p.m.

Jacob Dean Hall taught history classes in poverty, U.S. public policy, and modern Latin America. He received a doctoral degree from the UI in December 2013.
