During the Feb. 5 and 6 meetings of the state Board of Regents, the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics staff will propose changes to its bylaws.
UIHC officials asked a task force to review the subcommittees of the University Hospital Advisory Committee.
The task force recommended the regents eliminate the subcommittee on scientific and moral aspects concerning death, because its responsibilities were absorbed into the Neurology Department.
The task force additionally recommended that the regents create a new compliance subcommittee.
That body would “provide oversight and guidance for the regulatory audit and compliance activities of UIHC.”
