An Iowa City man has been accused of possessing one pound of marijuana in his home.
Aaron Mechtensimer, 31, was charged Nov. 15 with controlled-substance violation and failure to affix a tax stamp.
According to an Iowa City police complaint, officers executed a search warrant at his residence and found approximately one pound of marijuana, packaging material, a digital scale, bongs, pipes, grinders, and several thousand dollars in cash.
A codefendant reportedly admitted she and Mechtensimer sell marijuana out of the home.
Controlled-substance violation and failure to affix a tax stamp are Class-D felonies.
