Former Hawkeye diver Deidre Freeman completed competition at the FINA World Championships on July 26. Freeman finished with a 22nd place finish in the 3-meter springboard competition.
The Grinnell, Iowa, native totaled 256.80 points in the event, giving her a 22nd place finish out of 46 divers in the preliminary round. She did not score high enough to advance to the finals of the 3-meter springboard competition.
Earlier at the FINA World Championships, Freeman finished 11th in the 1-meter springboard event. She scored 236.30 points.
