An Iowa City man has been charged after allegedly selling a stolen iPad at the All About Phones kiosk in the Old Capitol Town Center.
Antonio Russell, 26, was charged on Sunday with fourth-degree theft.
According to a police complaint, on June 27, Russell sold an iPad to the All About Phones kiosk. The iPad had allegedly been reported as stolen from a local residence fewer than 12 hours before the item was resold. Russell allegedly left his driver’s license at the kiosk, and the victim was able to identify him as one of the individuals at her house when the iPad came up missing.
Fourth-degree theft is a serious misdemeanor.
