A local woman has been allegedly found to be in possession of heroin.
Kimberly Robinson, 46, was charged Wednesday with possession of a controlled substance.
According to an Iowa City police complaint, officers asked Robinson if she had any narcotics with her, and she reportedly admitted to having a spoon and needles used for shooting heroin in her backpack.
Robinson had seven needles and a spoon with heroin residue on it in her backpack, the complaint said.
Robinson has previous convictions for cocaine and heroin, a pending charge from the warrant she was picked up on, and a conviction of second-offense possession of a controlled substance.
Third or subsequent offense of possession of a controlled substance is a Class-D felony.
