Two members of the Iowa women’s golf team, Gigi DiGrazia and Brianna Midkiff, have been named Women’s Golf Coaches Association All-American Scholars.
“I am so proud of Gigi and Bri,” said Iowa women’s golf coach Megan Menzel in a release. “Both are great student-athletes and show outstanding leadership for our team in the classroom.
“For Gigi to graduate with a 4.0 shows great dedication and work ethic. Bri had a strong freshman year, and I am proud that she was able to do a great job managing her academics and golf.”
Student-athletes must carry a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.50 in order to be selected to the All-American Scholar Team.
DiGrazia, a senior from Addison, Ill., maintained a perfect 4.0 GPA on her way to her third career Academic All-Big Ten honor this year. She competed in 29 tournaments.
Midkiff, a native of Carmel, Ind., competed in 10 tournaments during her first year as a Hawkeye. The freshman posted a 79.20 stroke average.
