A Coralville man has been charged after reportedly running from law-enforcement officers during a traffic stop, which later turned into a vehicular chase.
Patrick Mulengwa, 29, was charged on Monday with interference with official acts causing bodily injury.
According to an Iowa City police complaint, officers stopped Mulengwa for not using headlights at the intersection of Jefferson and Clinton Streets. While stopped, he allegedly provided a false name and date of birth before exiting his vehicle and running from the officers.
During the chase and arrest, two officers were injured.
