The Iowa City City Council will vote to award a contract for the remodeling of the Ashton House.
City staff opened the project to bids on June 14, and information on each bid will be presented to the council prior to its Tuesday meeting.
City officials estimate the project will cost $225,000.
The city councilors approved the remodeling of the Ashton House at a meeting in May. The house, which was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2001, was built in 1947-1948. It was flooded in the summer of 2008, and city staff recommended the approval of the remodeling for public use, conferences, and special events.
The councilors will vote on the resolution at their meeting on Tuesday.
