An Ames man has been charged after allegedly punching another man in the face.
Daniel Jahren, 22, was charged on Sunday with assault causing bodily injury.
According to an Iowa City police complaint, Jahren refused to leave the residence of the man after being asked numerous times to leave the front porch. Jahren began to wrestle with the man and punched him in the face, the complaint said.
Jahren told police that the fight was “a mutual wrestling match” and that he had agreed to fight the man. The man was transported to a hospital, the complaint said.
