Gov. Terry Branstad appointed two new members to the state Board of Regents on March 1. Branstad also reappointed Regent President Craig Lang to his position.
Lang’s term expires at the end of April, along with the terms of Regents Jack Evans and David Miles. Evans and Miles have been a part of the board since 2007 and resigned from their leadership roles in July 20011 following a request from Branstad.
Branstad appointed Robert Cramer and Subhash Sahai to fill their positions; their terms will begin May 1.
Cramer, a Grimes resident, and Sahai, from Webster City, will serve on the board for six years if approved by the state Senate, which is controlled by the Democrats.
