A local man was arrested after Johnson County officials allegedly found approximately 2.5 ounces of cocaine during a drug search.
Raymond Dougherty, 62, was accused Feb. 21 with unlawful possession of prescription drugs, possession of controlled substance, controlled-substance violation, and tax-stamp violation.
The Johnson County Drug Task Force conducted a search warrant at Dougherty’s residence. During the search, officials reportedly located scales and drug paraphernalia. Approximately 2.5 ounces of cocaine, marijuana, and several unlabeled pill bottles with various pills in them, was allegedly discovered during the search.
Unlawful possession of prescription drugs is a serious misdemeanor. Possession of controlled substance is a serious misdemeanor. Controlled-substance violation is a Class-C felony. Tax-stamp violation is a Class-D felony.
