A Nebraska man was arrested after being found parked off Interstate 80 in a white van.
Samuel Dillon, 34, was accused Feb. 16 with second-degree theft.
An Iowa State trooper located a white Chevrolet Express van parked on the 230-mile marker east bound off the Interstate 80 ramp. Officials approached the vehicle and found Dillon sitting in the middle seat with a coat over his lap. Dillon stated that he found the van and had driven it that location, the police complaint said. Police officials checked the VIN of the van and results stated the van had been stolen from Grand Island, Nebraska. The van was estimated to be $5000.
Second-degree theft is a class-D felony.
