The acclaimed bluegrass duo Daily and Vincent will perform at the Englert Theater at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, in a Hancher presentation.

Hancher Programming Director Jacob Yarrow said the “pure bluegrass” style of Daily and Vincent should resonate well with Iowa City’s country/bluegrass fans.

“They’re one of the great bluegrass groups in the world,” he said. “They’re super high-energy performers and virtuosic players.”

Yarrow said the Grand Ole Opry “darlings” are sure to provoke a few laughs from audiences as well.

“They’re definitely great entertainers,” he said. “They’ve played with some of the great bluegrass bands over the years, so they know how to put on a show.”
