The state Board of Regents passed a request for two utilities projects by the University of Iowa.
The Court Street project — running necessary utilities along Court Street from Madison to Clinton Street to support the UI’s new music building, set to finish construction by 2016. The $6.4 million project is funding by utility system revenue bonds.
The UI is looking to replace steam and condensation lines serving the UIHC Carver Pavilion, along with the Johnson Speech and Hearing Center. This $3.6 million project is funded by utility system renewal and improvement funds.
