The UI Tau Kappa Epsilon Lambda-Eta chapter will soon have a new place to call home following lease agreements.
The fraternity plans to move into the recently vacated Sigma Alpha Epsilon house after the lease is signed, Chapter President Robert Taylor said.
Sigma Alpha Epsilon was suspended from the UI Interfraternity Council last month following hazing violations and other misconduct, and roughly 60 members were expelled from the fraternity.
Taylor said several of the Tau Kappa Epsilon members are looking forward to moving into the new house.
“[The agreement process] was good overall; they were willing to work with us, and all the guys are really excited,” he said. “It’ll be an asset to our recruitment and everything.”
