A transient man has been accused possessing more than $1,000 of property belonging to another person.
Ryan Cameron, 21, address unknown, was charged Sept. 30 with second-degree theft.
According to a Johnson County Sheriff’s Office complaint, Cameron went with the victim to her residence after meeting at a downtown Iowa City bar. The victim woke up the next morning and found that Cameron had allegedly left her home with her laptop computer, the complaint said.
Second-degree theft is a class-D felony punishable by up to five years in prison and a fine of $7,500.
