A Muscatine woman has been charged with possession of marijuana while operating a vehicle.

According to a State Patrol complaint, Kassandra Braun, 20, 1204 Northwood Lane, was allegedly driving westbound on Interstate 80 on Nov. 3 under the influence of marijuana.

Braun was reportedly driving above the posted speed limit of 65 mph when a state trooper received a radio report about her vehicle, the complaint said.

A traffic stop occurred at the intersection of Interstate 80 and Highway 1, where Braun allegedly admitted to smoking marijuana while driving.

A jar was observed in the passenger car containing a green leafy substance that was later identified as marijuana, along with a pipe and scale, the complaint said.

Braun was placed under arrest and transported to the Johnson County Jail.
