An Iowa City man has been accused of stealing a bicycle valued at $3,000 from an Iowa City home.
According to an Iowa City police complaint, Mickey Goodman, 22, address unknown, allegedly stole the bicycle from a garage at 815 Caroline Ct. on Nov. 3.
At the time, a witness identified two of the suspects that were on Caroline around the time the bike was taken, the complaint said. The bike was located behind 1707 Prairie Du Chien Road. Goodman and another male were present at trailer No. 9.
During questioning, Goodman was identified as the person who took the bike from the garage, the complaint said. After being advised of his Miranda rights, the defendant admitted to entering the garage and taking the bike.
Second-degree theft is a Class-D felony punishable up to five years in prison with a maximum fine of $7,500.
Second-degree burglary is a class-C felony punishable up to 10 years in prison with a maximum fine of $10,000.
