The Iowa City Landfill and Recycling Center is encouraging local residents to recycle and donate unused Halloween costumes for their Halloween Costume Swap taking place Saturday.
The Halloween Costume Swap and story time will take place at the Coralville Public Library on Saturday from 9:30 a.m. to noon. Halloween-theme story times are planned between 10 and 11:15 a.m., according to a city press release.
Costume donations must not have any spots or holes and must be in good to excellent condition. Officials at the East Side Recycling Center office, 2401 Scott Blvd. S.E., will accept donations between noon and 5 p.m. today. Costumes will also be accepted at the library on Saturday, the release said. No adult costumes will be available.
