A Des Moines man was charged after allegedly stealing a car valued at $12,000.
According to a State Patrol complaint, Reginald Doss, 26, was charged with first-degree theft after allegedly unlawfully possessing a 2006 Dodge Charger valued at $12,000. The registered owner of the car had reported it as stolen, the complaint said.
Doss admitted to officers that he had refused to return the vehicle and was in possession of the vehicle’s key when officers took him into custody.
First-degree theft is a Class-C felony.
