A Davenport woman was charged Aug. 31 with third-offense OWI.
According to a University of Iowa police complaint, Kimberli Blumer, 48, was charged after security at the UI Hospitals and Clinics saw her attempt to park her vehicle in the parking lot. She allegedly had bloodshot, watery eyes and slurred speech.
The complaint said Blumer smelled strongly of an ingested alcoholic beverage. She reportedly failed field sobriety tests.
Blumer admitted to drinking alcohol before driving to the UIHC from Davenport, according to the complaint. She has two previous OWI convictions, and her license is currently revoked.
Third-offense OWI is a Class-D felony.
