On Wednesday evening during the Avett Brothers concert, SCOPE announced that it will partner with the 10,000 Hours Show to bring Grace Potter and the Nocturnals to perform in Iowa City.
The group will perform on April 26 in the IMU Main Lounge as part of the annual 10,000 Hours Show.
Potter and the Nocturnals is know for such hit singles as "Paris (OoLa)" and "Tiny Light" from its 2010 self-titled album.
Bonnaroo, Kanrocksas, and Iowa’s 80-35 festivals are among the stages Potter and the Nocturnals have played recently. The band experiments with an edgy rock and country sound that provides for energetic live shows.
Later this year, the group will release the LP The Lion The Beast The Beat," which will feature tunes cowritten by Dan Auerbach of the Black Keys.
Tickets for the Iowa City show will go on sale March 19 at the University Box Office and all Ticketmaster locations.
