This weekend marks the first performance in the new Coralville Center for the Performing Arts, located at the intersection of Fifth Street and 12th Avenue in Coralville.
After years of planning and building, the theater hosted its grand opening on Aug. 27.
City Circle Acting Company will put on the venue’s first production in a rendition of the Broadway musical Hairspray.
The show will begin at 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday and at 2 p.m. on Sept. 11. The same schedule applies for the following weekend, Sept. 16-18.
Tickets are still available; admision ranges from $10 to $25.
