Local artist Dave Zollo has two upcoming performances this weekend — the first for good music and the second for a good cause.
Zollo, along with his band, the Body Electric, will play the Mill Friday night. Admission is $8.
Iowa City native Zollo began his career as part of the band High and Lonesome in the 1990s. He took time off to recuperate from an illness, then returned to music with the Body Electric.
Zollo will also perform alongside southeast Iowa country singer Jake McVey on Saturday for a benefit concert.
Proceeds from the concert go toward the University of Iowa Children’s Hospital medical professionals who are partnering with the nonprofit Issa Trust Foundation’s medical mission trip to Jamaica.
Tickets are $15.
