The Lexicon Collective is hosting a green-theme runway show titled Beyond the Hemline at 8 p.m. Saturday at the White Lightning Wherehouse, 700 S. Dubuque St. Admission is $8. A silent auction and door prizes will be available.

The runway event will feature the best of Iowa’s DIY clothing and fashion designers. Beyond the Hem aims to promote the creative talents of individuals who have an interest in wearable textiles.

Featured designers include Artifacts, Revival, White Rabbit, and Gindy Laura/Misty Blank, among others.

Runway music will be provided by DJ Suparusty, and Blaze Color Salon will provide styling and makeup. An intermission show will feature a performance by Les Dames Du Burlesque.

An after-party, also at the White Lightning Wherehouse, will include the music of So Much Fun, the Boxknifes, Lady Espina, and Techno Lincoln and the Technicolor Union.
