Spankalicious will play with Hood-Tek at 10 p.m. today at the Yacht Club, 13 S. Linn St. Admission is $5.

Spankalicious, also known as Kevin Moore, is making his mark on the electronic-music scene in the Midwest; he brings high energy to the stage. He creates the vibe that kick starts the rage in the crowd.

Moore is based in St. Louis. His background includes percussion, such as drumming, which allowed him to read rhythms inside and out. His rhythms are shown through scratching, drumming, blending, and mixing.

He thrives on taking the crowd through a musical journey that includes many flavors of emotions.

He was the host of the Wakarusa DJ classic in Columbia, Mo., and St. Louis. And in June, he was voted “Best DJ in St. Louis” by the Riverfront Times annual readers’ poll and music showcase.
