The University of Iowa’s Fine Arts Council will present the Holiday Thieves’ Market beginning at 10 a.m. Saturday and continuing through Dec. 5 in the IMU Main Lounge. Admission is free, and food will be provided.
The Holiday Thieves’ Market showcases art by local artists and students. More than 100 artists will exhibit and sell their original work. A variety of pieces, including paintings, ceramics, photography, woodworking, drawings, metal, glass, jewelry, fiber, and more, will be available.
A jury selects the artists accepted into the show from the range who apply. New photographer Kiera Nichols, a senior at West High, will show her work, as well as returning pottery artist Clement Clayworks and jewelry designer Nancy Krahn.
