An Iowa City man was arrested Tuesday after police allegedly found methamphetamine and meth-making ingredients during a search of his house, according to police.
Michael Reuwsaat, 54, was charged with possession of precursors to a controlled substance, controlled-substance violation, both Class D felonies, and possession of drug paraphernalia, a simple misdemeanor.
Reuwsaat is being held at the Johnson County Jail on a $15,000 bond.
During officers’ search of the residence, they also allegedly found digital scales with residue and small bags for packaging.
A class D felony is generally punishable by up to five years in prison and a fine of up to $7,500.
