Former Iowa women’s basketball head coach and Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame candidate Lisa Bluder will join Big Ten Network as an analyst throughout the Big Ten tournament this weekend, per David Eickholt of 247Sports.
Bluder will help lead studio coverage alongside Ashley Adamson and Shimmy Miller as well as sideline reporters Autumn Johnson and Elise Woodward, beginning on Thursday at noon ET with the Indiana-Oregon second-round matchup.
The news comes a day before the women’s basketball Big Ten tournament is set to kick off with Minnesota facing Washington on Wednesday at 3:30 p.m ET. The Hawkeyes also play tomorrow in a rematch against Wisconsin following the conclusion of Nebraska-Rutgers.
Bluder coached at Drake University and St. Ambrose University before being named Iowa’s head coach in 2000. In her 24-year tenure with the Hawkeyes, the three-time Big Ten Coach of the Year and 2018-19 Naismith College Coach of the Year retired as the all-time winningest coach in Big Ten history with an overall record of 528-254 and a conference record of 262-145.
Under her watch, Iowa saw 22 postseason appearances, including 18 NCAA tournament appearances, five Big Ten tournament titles, and two National Championship appearances in 2023 and 2024.
