Fans came out to Grant Field to see the Iowa Hawkeyes take on Northwestern Wildcats for an exhibition game in Iowa City on Saturday morning. Head coach Lisa Cellucci is entering her 13th season with the Hawkeyes and hoping to ranking top 10 again after finishing last season in No. 9 position.
Iowa controlled most of the game with the offense lingering near Northwestern’s goal for a good chunk of the game. When the ball ventured over to Iowa’s side, the Hawkeyes’ defense held strong. Iowa goalie Mia Magnotta stopped a goal from a penalty corner towards the end of the game that kept the momentum going for the Hawkeyes.
