Iowa football tight end Hayden Large is expected to sign with the Chicago Bears, as reported by CBS Sports’ Matt Zenitz on Saturday.
Large will join his Hawkeye teammate, Logan Jones, in Chicago. Jones was drafted with the No. 57 pick to the Bears on Friday. Large was an All-Big Ten honorable mention last season.
In 2025, Large caught eight passes for 52 yards in eight starts and 12 games played. The 6-foot-4 Dordt College transfer was a dominant force in an Iowa running game that collected 2,300 yards and 28 touchdowns.
Large played in 38 career games with the Hawkeyes and started 12. He recorded 14 receptions for 89 yards in his career. The Bears did take a tight end in the draft with the 69th overall pick, selecting Stanford tight end Sam Roush, so Large will have to battle for a spot on the Bears’ roster in training camp.
