The Iowa Hawkeyes defeated the Western Illinois Leathernecks, 22-3, at Duane Banks Field on Tuesday.
In the first two innings, Iowa was up 1-0. However, the Hawkeyes came out running in the third inning, finding home 13 times, setting the score at 14-0 as they headed into the fourth. Iowa ended up scoring eight more runs, with the Leathernecks putting up three.
The Hawkeyes’ record rises to 22-16 and will stay home to face off against UIC at 6:02 pm CDT on Wednesday, April 22, 2026.
