The No. 2 seed Iowa Hawkeyes held an open practice and media availability at Carver-Hawkeye Arena on Friday.

In Jan Jensen’s second year as the Iowa head coach, she led the Hawks to a 26-6 record. Last year, the Hawks made it to the second round in the NCAA tournament, falling to Oklahoma.

At a press conference, Jensen spoke on how Taylor McCabe’s injury made the team recalibrate.

“For me personally, most of the sets I’d call, I was just so confident in how that kid could shoot,” Jensen said. “So then I learned that a lot of the sets revolved around her. So we had to quickly figure out, you know, how we have to showcase some other players to get a shot. There were sets for Chat and sets for Ava and all that.”

FDU’s head coach Stephanie Gaitley has appeared in ten NCAA tournaments and is the 15th winningest coach in NCAA D1 history.
