Directors and actors gathered at the University of Iowa’s Theatre Building this Wednesday to rehearse their plays the evening before the Ten Minute Play Festival opening night.
The Festival runs from Feb. 19-22, and features productions entirely written by University students. It is part of Free Week in Iowa City, a series of local arts events open to the public.
Crew members practiced moving sets on and off the stage while directors and playwrights watched their work being performed from the theater seats. In the Green Room, actors relaxed, rehearsed, and made a TikTok as marketing for the UI Theater Instagram.
The run began at 8:30pm and went for a little over two hours.
