6,771 fans made their way to Pinnacle Bank Arena to see the No.15 Iowa Hawkeyes women’s basketball team take on the Nebraska Cornhuskers in Lincoln, NE, on Monday, Feb. 16, 2026. The Hawkeyes defeated the Cornhuskers 80-67.
The Hawkeye’s were headlined by sophomore center Ava Heiden, who had 27 points on 12/15 shooting and 11 rebounds. Other key contributors were the guard duo of Taylor Stremlow and Chazadi Wright with 31 combined points.
On the Cornhusker side, Nebraska was led by Britt Prince, who recorded 13 points on 4/8 shooting.
With the loss, the Cornhuskers fall to 16-10 as they move on to a two-game away trip on the west coast. The Cornhusker’s next game will be against Oregon in Eugene on Thursday, Feb. 19. The win brings the Hawkeye’s record to 20-5. The Hawkeyes will play again on Thursday, Feb. 19 where they will take on the Purdue Boilermakers in West Lafayette.
