Following an investigation conducted by the Iowa City Police Department, 42 year-old Antoinne E. Davis was arrested Saturday on a second-degree bank robbery charge.
The arrest comes after the Iowa City Police Department responded to a call from Hills Bank in Iowa City, located at 2621 Muscatine Ave., Friday.
According to a Friday press release, the suspect, now identified as Davis, was seen fleeing the scene on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash.
The release also contained a photo of the suspect, instructing any individuals to call Detective Cade Burma of ICPD if they had any information or security camera footage of the suspect.
Iowa City Area Crime Stoppers offered an award of up to $1,000 for anyone who had information leading to his arrest, according to the Friday release.
Davis now faces one count of second-degree robbery. Under Iowa law, robbery in the second degree is considered a class C felony.
According to a charge document, Davis had the intent to commit theft, and committed one or more of the following acts:
- Commit an assault upon another
- Threaten another with or purposefully put another in fear of immediate serious injury
- Threaten to commit immediately any forcible felony
Davis is currently being held in the Johnson County Jail.
