McGowan: Notre Dame – The Irish will make the playoffs and the world will be worse for it.

Schultz: Alabama – The Tide are going to screw around and win the whole thing, aren’t they?

Meglio: Alabama – My Uncle Dave is somewhere screaming “Roll Tide!” 

Carrithers: Alabama – Simply one of the best teams in the country 

Gan: Alabama – Bama found its stride again, and they’re home. Roll tide.

Brummond: Alabama – A good tune-up before Eastern Illinois comes to town. 

No. 19 Virginia @ Duke 

Schultz: Virginia – The ACC is like Joey Chestnut on Reds Opening Day – drunk. 

McGowan: Virginia – I sinned picking the Irish, so I won’t back the Devils. 

Meglio: Virginia – One of the easier picks I’ve had to make (pending backfire). 

Carrithers: Virginia – ACC is an upside-down conference. 

Gan: Virginia – Even though Duke is home, I don’t think it’ll pull it out. 

Bohnenkamp: Duke – Blue Devils are a surprising favorite here. 

Brummond: Duke – This is for basketball, right? 

No. 10 Texas @ No. 5 Georgia 

Schultz: Georgia – These ‘Dawgs will speed past the ‘Horns. 

McGowan: Georgia – “What’s the frequency, Kirby?” – R.E.M. (probably). 

Meglio: Georgia – Texas isn’t as good as it should be, regardless of its ranking. 

Carrithers: Georgia – Texas is overrated. 

Gan: Georgia – Unrank Texas NOW.

No. 24 South Florida @ Navy 

Schultz: Navy – Unlike most of my co-workers, I actually LOVE our troops. 

McGowan: South Florida – I love the troops, I swear. 

Meglio: South Florida – Battle of the elite mids. 

Carrithers: South Florida – Bulls keep the race for the CFP Group of Five spot close. 

Gan: South Florida – This will be a fantastic game. 

Bohnenkamp: Navy – I’ve always wanted to see a game at one of the academies.
