The No. 7 Iowa Hawkeyes defeated No. 18 Michigan State 5-3 on Saturday Oct. 12.
In this game, the Hawks tied their highest game of the season, scoring five goals from five different players.
In an extremely physical game, Iowa doubled MSU in penalties, racking up 20. In the end, Iowa won that battle by getting a goal off the only penalty kick from goalkeeper Fernanda Mayrink!
This was Iowa’s last home game of the season, with their next game being at USC on Sunday, Oct. 19, at 8:00 p.m. CDT.
