The Daily Iowan: What are you most passionate about?

KJ Parker: That’s a hard question. I’d say, as a football player, I’m rather competitive, but outside of football I’m very passionate about basketball. I’m a real basketball fan, and I like to play basketball.

What is your favorite holiday?

Thanksgiving. I love to eat. I’ve always been an eater, and my mom makes some good seafood mac and cheese that I like.

Where is the coolest place you’ve traveled?

When I was young, I went to Fort Lauderdale. I loved it. They had this outdoor hotel room. When you walk outside, the beach is right there. It was just perfect.

What is your favorite NFL team?

I’ve got to go with the Bears, hometown Chicago Bears.

Who is your favorite NFL player?

I would say [Patriots wide receiver] Stefon Diggs.

What is your dream concert?

Back when Juice WRLD was alive, I definitely would have wanted to go to his concerts, for sure.

Who is the smartest person you’ve ever met?

I’m going to go with somebody on the team, because I can’t think about it in my head. That’s hard, that’s a good question. Aaron Graves is really smart, I’ll say Aaron Graves.

What do you wish more people understood about you?

I watch anime, so that’s just something I wish people could understand about me.

What’s the most ridiculous nightmare you’ve ever had?

I had a nightmare that I was getting chased by Coach Ferentz for some odd reason. I don’t know if I was in trouble or something, but I was just dodging him every time I saw him. That’s a nightmare right there.
