Over one hundred demonstrators gathered in downtown Iowa City early Monday night to protest against President Donald Trump’s latest deportation plans.
A handful of counter-protesters showed up around 7:00 p.m., causing separation among the group and conflict between parties.
No arrests were made during the protest, though the police told counter-protesters that they had the right to stay but were instigating unnecessary conflict, which subsequently caused some to leave.
