Power Rankings
- Oregon – Welcome to the Big Ten, Ducks.
- Ohio State – The Buckeyes will be fine, but certainly a missed opportunity in Eugene.
- Penn State – Impressive comeback victory in the Coliseum, but I’m still not sold on them.
- Indiana – The Hoosiers are one of the best stories in college football right now.
- Nebraska – The Huskers are one win away from that elusive bowl game.
- Illinois – The Illini nearly avoided disaster last weekend against a horrible Purdue team, but this is still a solid squad.
- Iowa – Nice bounce-back victory over Washington last weekend. The Hawks have a favorable schedule the rest of the way.
- Michigan – Things will get much worse if the Wolverines can’t figure out their QB situation.
- Wisconsin – Back-to-back blowout wins over Purdue and Rutgers is nice, but let’s see them play a team with a pulse
- Washington – This team has plenty of talent, but needs to find some consistency. Great time for the bye week.
- USC – Lincoln Riley’s falloff needs to be studied
- Minnesota – Mid team, but I’m loving P.J. Fleck’s new beard.
- Rutgers – The hype train in Piscataway has now entered the station.
- Michigan State – The Spartans look to upset Iowa at home fresh off a bye week.
- Northwestern – Nice road triumph over Maryland. The Wildcats might not be very good, but they have shown some fight.
- Maryland – The Terrapins were pummeled at home by Northwestern. This is not a good football team.
- UCLA – The Bruins are already on to 2025.
- Purdue – By far the worst team in the conference. It’s time for a coaching change.

Ross-Ade Stadium: No. 2 Oregon (6-0, 3-0) @ Purdue (1-5, 0-3)
West Lafayette, IN
Where/when to watch: Friday at 7:00 p.m. on FOX | Line: Oregon -28 | O/U: 60.5
Purdue is the worst team in the conference, and Oregon is coming off a major win over Ohio State. This game is going to be an absolute bloodbath.
Memorial Stadium: Nebraska (5-1, 2-1) @ No. 16 Indiana (6-0, 3-0)
Bloomington, IN
Where/when to watch: Saturday at 11:00 a.m. on FOX | Line: Indiana -6.5 | O/U: 50.5
Who would’ve thought that this game would be the marquee Big Ten game of the week? Not me. The Hoosiers even sold this game out, their first in three years. A Nebraska victory would end its embarrassing bowl-game drought.
Lanny and Sharon Martin Stadium: Wisconsin (4-2, 2-1) @ Northwestern (3-3, 1-2)
Evanston, IL
Where/when to watch: Saturday at 11:00 a.m. on BTN | Line: Wisconsin -7.5 | O/U: 41.5
This is Northwestern’s final home game at their makeshift lakefront stadium. That’s all you should know about this game.
SHI Stadium: UCLA (1-5, 0-4) @ Rutgers (4-2, 1-2)
Piscataway, NJ
Where/when to watch: Saturday at 11:00 a.m. on FS1 | Line: Rutgers -4.5 | O/U: 40.5
If you like mediocre offense, then this is the game for you. Enough said.
Memorial Stadium: No. 24 Michigan (4-2, 2-1) @ No. 22 Illinois (5-1, 2-1)
Champaign, IL
Where/when to watch: Saturday at 2:30 p.m. on CBS | Line: Michigan -3.5 | O/U: 44.5
I’m not sure why Michigan is still ranked or favored here, but they will drop out after losing this one. Illinois may have nearly lost to Purdue, but they are too good to lose this game at home.
SECU Stadium: USC (3-3, 1-3) @ Maryland (3-3, 0-3)
College Park, MD
Where/when to watch: Saturday at 3:00 p.m. on FS1 | Line: USC -7 | O/U: 56.5
What in the world has happened to Lincoln Riley? The Trojans went 7-6 last season with Caleb Williams and are heading for another subpar season this year.
Spartan Stadium: Iowa (4-2, 2-1) @ Michigan State (3-3, 1-2)
East Lansing, MI
Where/when to watch: Saturday at 6:30 on NBC | Line: Iowa -5.5 | O/U: 41.5
This is a tough spot for Iowa on the road, but the Hawks have to win out to have any chance at the College Football Playoff. That Iowa State loss still stings.
