The Maryland field hockey team defeated Iowa, 2-0, in the quarterfinals of the Big Ten tournament at Phyllis Ocker Field in Ann Arbor, Mich. on Thursday.
Maryland’s Sammy Popper and Hope Rose each scored a goal during the game.
The Hawkeyes now wait to be seeded in the NCAA tournament. Selections for the tournament are held on Nov. 5.
