West Liberty, Iowa is a town with many emerging ethnicities and cultures.

It’s the first town in Iowa to have a majority Hispanic population, and the first town to implement a dual-language program in their school curriculum.

Even as a small town, West Liberty’s uniqueness speaks to a larger concept of naturalization and citizenship.

It embraces a diverse demographic to the state which sets a precedent to other rural communities in Iowa dealing with declining populations.
