Authorities have accused a North Liberty man of possessing methamphetamine and a knife with an 11-inch blade.

Dustin Martin, 30, was charged March 8 with carrying a knife larger than 8 inches and third-offense possession of meth.

According to the arrest affidavit, officers were called to the location because of a suspicious vehicle running in a parking lot as a business was closing. Martin was allegedly sitting in the vehicle with methamphetamine on his lap.

Officers reportedly found an 11-inch knife in the console next to Martin. Martin allegedly admitted that the knife belonged to him.

Third-offense possession of methamphetamine is a Class-D felony.
